Programme
Day 1 (10 June 2026): LISBON/TERCEIRA
After landing at Lajes airport, a local guide welcomes you and accompanies you on a tour of the city of Praia da Vitória, with highlights including the market, the municipal garden, the parish church of Santa Cruz and Praça Francisco Ornelas da Câmara. Lunch at a local restaurant (starters + soup + main course + drinks + dessert + coffee). After lunch, check-in at Hotel do Caracol. Free afternoon. Buffet dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2 (11 June 2026): TERCEIRA
Buffet breakfast. Departure from the hotel at 9 am for a coach tour along the south coast, with stops at the Monte Brasil peninsula, Serra da Ribeirinha viewpoint, the town of São Sebastião and Serra do Cume viewpoint. Lunch at a local restaurant (starters + soup + main course + drinks + dessert + coffee). In the afternoon, a visit to the interpretation centre of the Algar do Carvão empty volcano (entrance not included)*, a walk through the Furnas do Enxofre fumarole field and a stop at the Veredas viewpoint. Return to the hotel around 5.30 pm. Buffet dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 3 (12 June 2026): SÃO JORGE
Buffet breakfast. Departure from the hotel at 8 am by coach to the Angra do Heroísmo marina for the boat crossing to the island of São Jorge. On arrival, a coach tour of the island, with highlights including the village of Topo, the Fajã dos Cubres viewpoint, Silveira leisure park, a São Jorge cheese tasting, the church of Urzelina, the viewpoint over Velas and the Nunes coffee plantation. Lunch at a local restaurant (starters + soup + main course + drinks + dessert + coffee). Return to Terceira around 6 pm. On arrival, transfer to the hotel, where a buffet dinner is served. Overnight stay.
Day 4 (13 June 2026): TERCEIRA
Buffet breakfast. Departure from the hotel at 9 am by coach to the centre of Angra do Heroísmo for a walking tour of the city’s main sights, including Duque da Terceira garden, the Angra do Heroísmo museum (entrance included), the Palace of the Captains-General (entrance included), the cathedral (entrance included), Corte Real garden and Pátio da Alfândega. Lunch at a local restaurant (starters + soup + main course + drinks + dessert + coffee). In the afternoon, a coach tour of the west coast and the interior of the island, with a visit to the Gruta do Natal lava tube (entrance included), a stop at the Lagoa das Patas leisure area, the Doze Ribeiras viewpoint, a cheese tasting and a drive past the fishing harbour of São Mateus. Return to the hotel around 5.30 pm. Buffet dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5 (14 June 2026): TERCEIRA/LISBON
Buffet breakfast. Free morning. At 12.30 pm, transfer to a local restaurant for lunch (starters + soup + main course + drinks + dessert + coffee). After lunch, a visit to the wine museum, where a fortified wine is served, and a walk by the natural swimming pools of Biscoitos. At 4.15 pm, transfer to the airport for check-in and the return flight to Lisbon.
